Tracey Harrington-Simpson
(17.06. - 26.06. 2011)

Tracey Harrington-Simpson is a 43 year old, married woman living In Turkey. Originally from Yorkshire, England and now a Turkish citizen, she is known as both Tracey and Eylül. Her artwork is presented to you under the pseudonym of “taiche”.

She held her first solo exhibition in June 2009 at the “Nail Çakırhan & Halet Çambel House of Culture & Art” in Akyaka. Following her 2011 exhibition she will be opening a permanent gallery at the Prince Kinli Hotel, Marmaris.

“Since moving to Turkey I have rediscovered my love of painting. I want no more than being able to share my work with others and hope they enjoy looking at my art as much as I have enjoyed putting brush to canvas.

I am a figurative artist whose predominant work focuses on the aesthetics of the female form in a contemporary style. My work highlights the beauty of women of all ages and cultures in a unique manner. My female form paintings embrace the curves, contours and gentility of the female shape. I am an active member of ‘PINK POETRY inc’. and use some of my works to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

I also produce artwork covering a wide spectrum of other subjects. My artwork is eclectic in style and theme and ranges from cute through dark, from political to satire, from realist to abstract. The use of bright and bold colour unifies my work.

I manage two sites in which I showcase and sell my art on line. You can find me at redbubble.com/people/taiche and zazzle.com/taiche.

You can follow my journey and be introduced to new works and special offers via my blog at “Female Contemporary Art” taiche-femalecontemporaryart.blogspot.com

I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it. If my work makes you smile it makes me smile even more!”
