 1957-
Ülkü Yalçın was born in Izmir, Adagide
1975- She
finished the Izmir High School for Girls
1975- She
began education at the Izmir Buca Education Institute Art Department, but
had to interrupt her studies. However, this caused her livelong passion for
painting.
1978- She
graduated from the Social Science Department of the Izmir Buca Education
Institute.
1996- She
achieved her licence in History from the Anatolia University and started to
teach history for 25 years in Izmir, Siirt, Ankara and Izmir/ Tire until the
year 2004. Ülkü Yalçın always felt that giving an education to her students
is a most valuable mission for her country.
After
being retired she continued to paint in Izmir/ Tire and she reflects her
love of nature, mankind and history in her work. Ülkü Yalçın showed her
paintings for the first time in an individual exhibition in Izmir/ Tire.
Besides, she participated in a number of group exhibitions in Kuşadası,
Ayvalık and Tire.
