The platform for street animals in Akyaka has
expressed the wish to valuate force against street animals not only
as misdemeanour but as a criminal offence in the future. They
started a petition campaign to reach this aim. |

In this context the members of the platform were promised the founding of a temporary home for animals by mayor Ahmet Çalca. Mayor Ahmet Çalca said the mentality of using force against animals could turn into force against humans at any time and one should and could not tolerate such behaviour. |
